Verimi and Signicat have formed a partnership to provide a multi-factor identification and authentication solution.
As part of the agreement, Verimi will integrate its identification platform into Signicat’s digital identity hub. Verimi is a Germany-based cross-industry ID platform and was chosen by Singicat to support its move into the German market.
Verimi is a free online account which lets consumers store personal information to ease online verification processes but also sign online documents.
The digital identity hub of Signicat is a network of over 20 electronic IDs, with multiple verification methods including document scanning, facial recognition, and live video detection. The platform checks eID schemes, checks and verifies identity papers, registries, photos, videos and social media.
After joining, companies can connect to consumers and seamlessly onboard and authenticate customers. By working together, Signicat customers will be able to digitally onboard customers in Germany.
Through the deal, Verimi will be able to entice more international partners through their network.
By integrating the Verimi platform, Signicat’s existing clients will be able to make use of its identification and authentication services.
Signicat CEO Gunnar Nordseth said, “Germany is rapidly becoming a digital-first nation and our partnership with Verimi means we can offer our international clients an excellent identity verification and authentication method to attract and retain new customers. Verimi’s exciting offering is opening new doors for us in Germany and we look forward to working together with them.”
Signicat offers a range of digital identity verification, authentication and signing solutions to regulated markets. Its electronic identification service helps to ease the onboarding processes of businesses and ensure compliance with KYC, AML, GDPR, eIDAS, and ISO.
Last year, the company was selected by Resurs Bank to supply it with e-ID software, replacing its current paper-based method. The bank is able to accelerate the verification for in-store purchases which require a credit agreement.
