Compyl, a governance, risk and compliance (GRC) platform based in the US, has secured $12m in a Series A funding round to accelerate its expansion and enhance its AI capabilities.
The investment was led by early-stage infrastructure software investor Venture Guides, with participation from existing backers including Contour Venture Partners, Armory Square Ventures, nvp capital, Alpine Meridian Ventures, Brooklyn Bridge Ventures, and Zelkova Ventures.
Founded in 2020, Compyl provides an AI-driven platform designed to simplify complex GRC processes by turning enterprise data into actionable insights. The solution enables organisations to unify fragmented data sources, automate risk and compliance monitoring, and proactively identify and address vulnerabilities in real time.
The newly raised capital will support Compyl’s go-to-market strategy, help grow its team across key departments, and accelerate further development of its AI-supported GRC platform. As part of the investment, Venture Guides partner Anton Simunovic will join Compyl’s board of directors. He will sit alongside board members from Contour Venture Partners and Armory Square Ventures.
Compyl has reported significant momentum in recent years, doubling its customer base annually and achieving triple-digit year-over-year annual recurring revenue growth. The company has gained traction for its flexible, modular architecture, which offers configurable workflows and real-time dashboards without the need for custom development or manual workarounds.
Venture Guides partner Anton Simunovic said, “Mid-market enterprises grapple with rising regulations, auditor scrutiny, data growth, cross-functional coordination, and expanding vendor networks—all escalating compliance and security risks.
“Customers love how Compyl uniquely ingests and correlates all relevant data, automating workflows to save time and proactively mitigate risks. We’re excited to support Compyl’s growth.”
