Q6 Cyber, a Miami-based threat intelligence platform focused on fraud and financial crime prevention, has received a strategic growth investment from Charlesbank Capital Partners.
The deal was made through Charlesbank’s Technology Opportunities Fund, with terms of the transaction not disclosed.
The investment will provide Q6 Cyber with fresh capital to accelerate the growth of its product suite, expand both commercially and geographically, and pursue strategic acquisitions to broaden its capabilities.
Founded in 2016, Q6 Cyber specialises in serving banks, credit unions and other financial institutions with solutions that proactively detect fraud and cyber threats across covert digital channels, including the dark web. Its platform enables clients to prevent cyber incidents before financial losses occur, delivering measurable returns on investment and cost savings for fraud prevention and information security teams. To date, Q6 has helped its clients avoid hundreds of millions in potential fraud losses.
The company confirmed that founder and CEO Eli Dominitz, alongside the entire management team, has retained its investment and will continue to lead Q6 into its next phase of growth.
Q6 Cyber CEO Eli Dominitz said, “Today’s investment is a testament to the value our team delivers to financial institutions every day, and the tremendous opportunity to scale further.
“In partnership with Charlesbank, we will continue to innovate, extend our reach and strengthen our ability to keep customers ahead of financial and electronic crimes. Their extensive experience backing high-growth threat intelligence businesses makes Charlesbank a fitting partner as we build on the strong foundation we’ve built.”
Charlesbank managing director Darren Battistoni said, “We’ve been thoroughly impressed by the cutting-edge platform Eli and his team have built. For many leading financial institutions, Q6 has become mission-critical, providing invaluable fraud and cyber-threat intelligence.”
