Rencore raises $15m to scale global AI governance

Rencore

Rencore, an enterprise governance platform specialising in Microsoft 365 and AI oversight, has extended its Series A funding round to a total of $15m.

The latest raise brings new backing from European investor Hi Inov, with continued support from existing shareholders UVC Partners and Capnamic Ventures.

The company confirmed the extension round has lifted its Series A haul to $15m, reinforcing investor confidence in its approach to AI and Agent Governance. Hi Inov led the investment, with the firm seeing growing demand from enterprises seeking safer and more controlled use of AI technologies across their operations.

Founded around its cloud-based governance technology, Rencore provides tools that enable large organisations to manage collaboration, security, compliance and automation across Microsoft 365, the Power Platform and AI-driven services including Copilot. Its platform helps IT and compliance teams monitor sprawling digital environments, enforce organisational policies and reduce risk by automating remediation processes.

The company said the new capital will be used to strengthen its international footprint, particularly in Europe and North America, and further scale its AI governance capabilities. The funding will also support product and engineering hiring as Rencore expands its offering for organisations deploying AI at speed and at scale.

Rencore has developed advanced features that allow enterprises to control how AI systems interact with sensitive business data, ensuring alignment with emerging standards around trust, risk and security. As large organisations adopt AI tools such as Copilot, the company said structured governance is becoming critical for CIOs and IT leaders responsible for managing new layers of complexity.

The platform is already used by major global enterprises such as Amgen, Honeywell, Lufthansa Group and Siemens Healthineers to reduce exposure risks, maintain compliance and safeguard collaboration environments.

Hi Inov partner Julius Jürging said, “AI adoption across the enterprise is creating a new layer of complexity in governance, security, and compliance. Rencore is uniquely positioned to solve these challenges by extending its proven Microsoft 365 governance foundation into AI and Agent Governance. We are convinced that Rencore will play a defining role in how enterprises establish control and trust in the age of AI.”

Rencore CEO Matthias Einig said, “Enterprises today need to govern not only their data but also the AI systems that use it. This investment allows us to accelerate our mission of helping organizations adopt AI responsibly and securely, while scaling our presence in Europe and North America. The demand for AI governance is growing fast, and Rencore is ready to lead this next stage of enterprise transformation.”

The company said it will continue partnering with large enterprises, integrators and managed service providers to develop long-term governance frameworks that enable secure innovation while maintaining compliance as AI adoption rises.
