Salv has unveiled its ambitious product roadmap for 2025–26, outlining plans to strengthen detection capabilities, streamline investigations, and embed artificial intelligence (AI) tools that support compliance teams rather than replace them.
The roadmap, presented during a customer webinar, focuses on enhancing both the speed and independence of analysts using Salv’s compliance platform, claims Salv.
Salv product manager Agne Kotikovaite opened the session by stressing the company’s commitment to collaboration with users. “Every insight and every piece of feedback you share shapes what we build,” Kotikovaite said. The roadmap sets two clear goals: improving detection accuracy and making investigations faster and more intuitive, supported by an additional AI layer across both areas.
Detection in Salv refers to all pre-alert activities such as screening people and transactions, running monitoring scenarios, and applying risk rules to identify potential financial crime. Once an alert is triggered, investigations begin—requiring analysts to gather context, assess information, and close cases. While customers praised the platform’s detection capabilities, Kotikovaite admitted that “the investigations still feel a little heavy,” adding that the new roadmap is designed to make case-handling “easier to get context, walk through alerts and handle complex cases.”
Among the key upgrades are tools that will make investigations smoother and more transparent. Teams will be able to manually add attributes such as tags or intelligence from other systems, improving context and reducing false positives. A no-code segment builder will empower non-technical users to build and test data segments independently, while a new case creation feature will let teams group related alerts, set deadlines, and export cases for reporting. Editable templates and link analysis visualisations will further enhance consistency and help analysts detect hidden connections in complex financial flows.
The roadmap also brings improvements to Salv’s existing product lines. In Screening, n-gram technology will combat name variation tactics and ensure higher accuracy, while new features will let users safely test screening flows before deployment. Monitoring will benefit from a no-code scenario builder and improved visibility into transactions contributing to alerts. In the Risk module, segments will be integrated into rules to enable tailored scoring models across customer types.
A core part of Salv’s plan is its approach to AI integration. Product engineer Joonas Praks emphasised that “AI is here to elevate the analyst. We don’t plan to introduce an end-to-end AI driven solution. They are helpers to aid your everyday work.” Upcoming AI-driven tools include an Alert Assistant to summarise key case information, a Scenario Optimiser to assess monitoring effectiveness, and AI Insights for Screening to refine matches and reduce ambiguity. Salv is also exploring AI-based alert prioritisation to help analysts focus on high-risk cases first.
Praks warned that AI must be applied cautiously in compliance contexts. “False positives are annoying, but false negatives are dangerous,” he said. “If an AI tells you something is fine when it’s not, and you believe it, that’s a real risk.” Kotikovaite added that transparency is essential for regulatory compliance: “You need to be able to defend it to regulators. That means it can’t just be a black box. So we’re focused on building confidence first.”
Customer engagement continues to shape Salv’s product direction. Addressing a question about regulatory reporting, Kotikovaite explained that the new case management system will simplify exports to meet FIU requirements. “You’ll have everything in one place,” she said, adding that no-code tools will give teams “the full independence to create a segment, apply it in the scenario, test it and then go live with it.”
Summarising Salv’s vision, Kotikovaite said the platform’s evolution aims to give compliance professionals greater autonomy and faster results. “The hope is that it will become much, much quicker for you, and you’ll have more independence at your hands.”
