KYC Portal unveils new module for seamless identity checks

KYC Portal has unveiled its new Self Check-In module, enabling instant verification of individuals directly from within its back-office platform.

The latest feature allows users to initiate manual ID and verification (ID&V) requests at the click of a button, streamlining compliance workflows and enhancing operational efficiency.

The update allows users to send verification requests to individuals, who can then confirm their identity using a secure link on their mobile device. This process enables them to capture a selfie and upload a proof of identification document, ensuring that the identity check is completed quickly and securely.

KYCP is recognised as one of the most advanced Risk Orchestration platforms on the market, offering a dynamic, real-time solution that covers the entire due diligence lifecycle—from onboarding through to continuous compliance automation. The addition of the Self Check-In module strengthens KYCP’s position as a leader in RegTech innovation, enabling organisations to maintain high compliance standards while optimising back-office operations.

Previously, clients requiring ID&V steps in their due diligence processes often had to rely on third-party verification providers. These additional integrations increased complexity and delayed onboarding timelines. With Self Check-In, KYCP removes this friction by offering a native verification capability built directly into its platform. The new feature also integrates with KYCP’s Pay As You Go token system, ensuring scalability and cost efficiency for users.

Once the verification link is sent, individuals authenticate via two-factor authentication (2FA) and follow a guided process to capture their photo and identification document. The KYCP system then automatically stores verification details, linking them to the individual’s entity profile. The full audit trail—including verification status and document authenticity—is recorded within the platform, allowing firms to meet regulatory requirements effortlessly.

KYCP’s intelligent orchestration automatically performs optical character recognition (OCR) on submitted identification documents, extracting data and mapping it to relevant fields in the system. This data can then trigger automated actions such as risk rating calculations, document requirements, or additional due diligence steps based on each organisation’s specific configuration.

While this is the first release of the Self Check-In feature, KYCP is already developing new automation layers around the module to deliver even greater orchestration benefits.
