Cytora has announced a new partnership with Pilotbird as it looks to help insurers reduce claims leakage and improve payout accuracy through deeper use of data and analytics.
Under the agreement, insurers using Cytora’s platform will be able to embed Pilotbird’s open-source intelligence directly into their claims workflows. Pilotbird analyses publicly available data to provide contextual insights that can support more accurate decision-making during claims evaluations. These insights are integrated into Cytora’s digitised claims intake process, covering both first notification of loss and post-FNOL stages.
By combining claims digitisation with lifestyle analytics, insurers can assess claims faster while maintaining stronger controls. The partners say the integration allows carriers to identify potentially ineligible claims earlier, reduce false positives and ensure legitimate claims are paid more efficiently. This approach is intended to balance speed and accuracy at a time when insurers are under pressure to improve customer experience without increasing losses.
Cytora COO Juan de Castro said: “Integrating predictive fraud data is crucial for automating complex workflows, particularly in the claims space. Our partnership with Pilotbird embeds cutting-edge lifestyle analytics directly into our claims digitization workflow, allowing carriers to dramatically improve their detection of ineligible claims, reduce false positives, and ensure adjuster resources are focused only on the most impactful cases. This immediate access to open-source evidence is key to driving efficiency and delivering improved loss ratios across products like Workers’ Compensation and Auto Claim.”
Pilotbird CEO Evgeny Aleksandrov said: “Our partnership with Cytora is vital for embedding sophisticated claims intelligence directly into the digital claims lifecycle. Pilotbird’s open-source intelligence platform delivers ~14x-56x ROI by improving payout accuracy, cycle time and loss control. Pilotbird’s integration with Cytora’s AI-powered workflow provides commercial insurers rapid claims intake, evidence-based triage, and improved adjusters productivity for Workers’ Compensation and Auto Claims “
