AI-native cybersecurity firm Gambit Cyber raises $3.4m seed

Gambit Cyber, an AI-native cybersecurity company focused on pre-emptive risk management and CTEM, has closed a seed funding round to support the next phase of its growth as demand rises for proactive, AI-ready security solutions.

The company raised $3.4m in seed funding in a round led by Expeditions, with participation from Bitdefender Voyager Ventures, the early-stage investment arm of global cybersecurity provider Bitdefender.

Founded to address the growing complexity of modern cyber risk, Gambit Cyber develops KnightGuard, an AI-powered platform designed to help organisations continuously identify, validate and reduce cyber risks before they can be exploited. The platform uses a coordinated mesh of specialised AI agents combined with integrated security capabilities, allowing enterprises to understand, prioritise and remediate their most critical exposures on an ongoing basis rather than through periodic assessments.

With the latest funding, Gambit Cyber plans to accelerate product development, expand its network of AI agents and strengthen platform capabilities. The company also intends to use the capital to support international expansion and deepen strategic partnerships with managed security service providers (MSSPs), telecom operators and cloud platforms across Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

KnightGuard is already gaining early traction among enterprise customers and MSSPs operating in sectors such as financial services, telecommunications and critical infrastructure. The platform is currently in use across multiple regions including India, the UAE and parts of Europe, reflecting increasing adoption of CTEM as organisations contend with expanding attack surfaces, AI-enabled threat actors and an ongoing shortage of skilled cybersecurity professionals.

Headquartered in the Netherlands, Gambit Cyber operates with teams and channel partners across the UK, the UAE, Australia and India. The company said this geographic footprint aligns with rising regional demand for continuous, risk-centric cybersecurity models as enterprises modernise their defensive strategies.

“This investment validates our mission to reinvent how organizations understand and respond to cyber risks and become future-ready,” said Anuj and Manuj Kumar, Co-founders, Gambit Cyber. “KnightGuard was built from the ground up to be AI-native, risk-centric, and preemptive. With Expeditions and Bitdefender behind us, we are accelerating toward a world where security teams gain real-time, risk-centric clarity and can continuously stay ahead of threats.”

“We are pleased to partner with Anuj and Manuj, two highly accomplished cybersecurity professionals, who are redefining the proactive cybersecurity stack with an AI-native and risk-centric architecture designed for scale, automation, and threat-informed decision-making. We believe Gambit Cyber’s KnightGuard will become foundational for organizations adopting CTEM,” said Mikolaj Firlej, Founding Partner, Expeditions.

“At Bitdefender Voyager Ventures, we invest with long-term commitment in founders and technologies that advance the future of cybersecurity,” Bitdefender Voyager Ventures representatives said. “Gambit Cyber reflects the type of opportunity we prioritize: companies whose approach to security, data, automation, and AI aligns with our strategic vision. By partnering with teams like theirs, we aim to provide not only capital but deep global expertise to help shape the next generation of cyber innovation.”
