A partnership between AirHelp and Trustfull has been initiated to bolster the security of the flight compensation claims process.
AirHelp, established in 2013, is recognized as the world’s largest air passenger rights organization. It supports passengers in claiming compensation for disrupted flights such as delays, cancellations, or overbookings. To date, it has assisted 2.7m passengers worldwide and offers support in 19 languages.
Trustfull, on the other hand, operates a sophisticated Identity Intelligence platform. This technology assesses user risk by analyzing numerous digital signals including email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, and domains, facilitating real-time fraud detection while ensuring a smooth user experience.
This collaboration is particularly timely, given the recent surge in flight disruptions, with over 38% of European passengers experiencing travel inconveniences during the summer of 2024, affecting around 112.4m travellers.
AirHelp seeks to streamline the compensation claims process while enhancing its fraud prevention measures. Trustfull contributes its expertise by analyzing and cross-referencing users’ contact information through Open Source Intelligence, enabling AirHelp to quickly flag and halt suspicious claims.
Tomasz Pawliszyn, CEO of AirHelp, commented: “Trustfull’s solutions have demonstrated exceptional accuracy in identifying fraudulent requests, strengthening the integrity of our compensation process without slowing down genuine claims.”
Marko Maras, CEO of Trustfull, added: “We look forward to collaborating with AirHelp in their mission to uphold passenger rights. Enhancing security for customers and operators is a key priority for the travel industry, and we are proud of Trustfull’s contribution towards this goal.”
