Augmentt raises $18m to scale MSP security automation

Augmentt

Augmentt, a fast-growing SaaS provider helping managed service providers strengthen and streamline the security of Microsoft 365 environments, has secured $18m in new funding.

The Series A round was led by Camber Partners, a New York-based growth equity firm specialising in high-velocity B2B software companies.

The company confirmed it had raised CAD $18m in fresh capital, with Camber Partners the sole investor in this latest round. The funding marks a significant step for Augmentt as it responds to mounting demand among MSPs for tools that consolidate security monitoring, posture management and automation into a single platform.

Founded to give MSPs better control and visibility over client cloud environments, Augmentt’s technology supports tenant posture monitoring and unified security management across Microsoft 365. The platform is designed to help providers address rising expectations around cyber protection, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency, particularly across small and mid-sized businesses.

The company said the new investment will be used to accelerate product development, expand go-to-market capabilities, and deepen its network of MSP partnerships worldwide. The funding will also enable the team to further enhance its suite of security automation and visibility tools, which it sees as crucial to helping MSPs meet growing operational pressures.

Augmentt noted that MSPs are facing intensifying market challenges, including higher labour costs, tighter competition and more stringent regulation. The company believes automation can ease these pressures by reducing manual workloads and improving the scalability of managed security services.

Zodia Custody CEO Julian Sawyer said, “We are excited to partner with Camber on this next stage of our journey. We look forward to leveraging Camber’s deep operating experience as we look to drive innovation for MSPs, accelerate customer success, and scale our global footprint.”

Camber Partners vice president Duncan McGillivary said, “Augmentt is setting a new standard for MSPs serving small and mid-sized businesses. The team comes with deep industry expertise and has a history of exceptional execution. We’re confident that their vision, combined with a product this valuable to MSP workflows, will catalyze a new era of improved service and security for businesses globally.”

Augmentt chairman and former N-able CEO Gavin Garbutt said, “MSPs are the backbone of modern IT delivery and cybersecurity protection, yet they’re often being asked to do more with less. At Augmentt, our mission is to empower them through security automation, visibility, and control across both the Microsoft ecosystem and the broader cloud—helping MSPs deliver world-class security services at scale. This funding enables us to accelerate that mission and continue building world-leading Microsoft security tools MSPs need to scale and thrive.”
