WiseBee, a cybersecurity startup focused on AI-powered defence solutions for mid-sized, regulated companies, has raised $2.5m in a pre-seed funding round.
According to Tech EU, the investment was led by Frontline Ventures and BrightCap Ventures, with support from a US-based investment firm and several angel investors with cybersecurity expertise.
Founded by CEO Stoyan Stoyanov and CDO Taha Kazi, WiseBee offers an AI-driven platform designed to unify threat intelligence, risk analysis, and attack surface monitoring into a single, autonomous solution for mid-market businesses facing enterprise-grade threats.
The company plans to use the new capital to accelerate the development and deployment of its Agentic cyber risk mitigation platform. This includes strengthening autonomous threat resolution capabilities, broadening system integrations, expanding its global team, and supporting future product-led growth. WiseBee is also preparing for its next funding round and aims to foster a community-driven approach to cyber defence.
Unlike traditional security tools that focus on alerts, WiseBee delivers full-cycle remediation through AI-powered agents. These agents actively detect, analyse, and autonomously mitigate risks, addressing the resource constraints typically faced by mid-sized security teams.
The company is already working with lead customers, including a US local government and organisations in FinTech, banking, and space technology sectors across Europe. Pilot programmes are also underway with CISOs in government, defence, and telecom.
The startup benefits from a network of strategic advisors, including CISOs and engineers from SecurityScorecard, VMWare, Box, Amazon, Deloitte, Verizon, and Google. WiseBee is seeing early traction across CEE, the UK, DACH, and the US West Coast.
WiseBee CEO Stoyan Stoyanov said, “Most cybersecurity tools are reactive, siloed, and designed for large enterprises with hefty budgets. We are building something fundamentally different: an autonomous system of security agents that detect and mitigate risks around the clock – 24/7.”
Frontline Ventures partner Zoe Chambers said, “AI brings huge benefits but also new security threats, from rogue agents to unvetted tools and chaotic tech stacks. Stoyan and Taha are building exactly what stretched infosec teams need: AI-native agents that go beyond alerts to deliver full remediation. We’ve been impressed by their speed and traction so far and are excited to back them as they scale across Europe and the US.”
BrightCap principal Dimitar Korsakov added, “Cybersecurity is no longer just about better alerts; it’s about intelligent context and precise autonomous actions. Wisebee delivers on all fronts, thanks to Stoyan and Taha’s deep industry expertise, AI innovations, and customer-first approach. We are delighted to partner with Wisebee as they bring their product to thousands more organisations and continue growing their team with top AI talent.”
