Trustfull and Dotfile have announced a partnership to enhance fraud prevention during digital customer onboarding for FinTech companies.
The collaboration aims to strengthen controls against synthetic identity fraud—where criminals combine genuine and fabricated data to bypass ID checks. According to Deloitte, such schemes are projected to cause over $23bn in losses by 2030.
Through a native integration of Trustfull’s risk-scoring API into Dotfile’s verification platform, the partnership enables clients to detect synthetic identities and other suspicious accounts in real time. Trustfull’s AI-driven technology analyses hundreds of open-source intelligence signals, including phone numbers, emails, IP addresses, and web domains, to flag high-risk signups and reinforce KYC, KYB, and AML processes.
Trustfull specialises in delivering advanced, frictionless fraud prevention tools that operate silently to minimise user disruption. Dotfile, meanwhile, provides comprehensive business verification solutions combining ID verification, risk assessment, and compliance management through AI-powered automation.
This integration is designed for organisations that onboard customers digitally at scale—such as banks, BNPL providers, online marketplaces, payment platforms, and crypto firms—where balancing fraud prevention with a seamless customer experience remains a critical challenge.
Dotfile CEO Vasco Alexandre said, “As the lines between AML compliance and fraud prevention continue to blur, financial institutions are increasingly looking for integrated solutions to help them stay ahead of risk without compromising user experience. In Trustfull, we’ve found the ideal partner to meet that need. Our teams share a clear vision for secure, seamless onboarding and a deep commitment to customer-centricity, making our collaboration a success from day one.”
Trustfull CEO Marko Maras added, “Getting onboarding right is non-negotiable for today’s digital companies. By integrating Trustfull’s risk scoring solution within Dotfile’s market-leading platform, we’re giving fintechs a single, integrated way to detect and stop synthetic identities and high-risk users at the first touchpoint with the customer, preventing fraud while protecting signup conversion in one single step.”
Trustfull’s risk scoring feature is now available to all new and existing Dotfile clients without additional integration. The unified solution delivers end-to-end capabilities across fraud prevention, risk scoring, ID verification, UBO mapping, AML screening, and onboarding workflows within one streamlined platform.
