Summary

The Angel CoFund was setup in 2011 with the purpose of increasing the quality, and quantity, of angel investing throughout England.

Predominantly, investments are put into companies small to medium in size with a high potential for growth.

In 2011, the firm was initially supported by Capital for Enterprise Limited (CfEL), and Angel CoFund received a £50m grant. CfEL later became the British Business Bank, thus taking over control of CfEL’s funds, which included autonomy over the Angel CoFund, following which an extra £50m was added to the firm’s fund.

The firm typically invests between £0.1m and £1m to eligible SMEs.
