CommerzVentures invests in the most ambitious young companies whose founders are all driven by a shared vision: to redefine the financial services industry. We invest in entrepreneurs who display excellence, integrity, and enthusiasm with a view to helping them expand worldwide.

Founded in October 2014, CommerzVentures operates as the corporate venture capital fund of Commerzbank Group. We back early- and growth-stage companies in the financial services and insurance sectors, starting at Series A. We aspire to invest in the very best players in a given market segment, always pursuing our main objective of generating financial return. Our initial investment size ranges from €2 million to €10 million. Europe, Israel, and the USA are our primary areas of investment, although we do work with companies across the globe.

As an independent venture capitalist, we work closely with our portfolio companies, focussing on value creation and sustained growth. Our approach and working style are defined by agility and commitment, complemented by extensive experience in our target markets. We act swiftly and decisively. Collectively, we have accumulated more than 50 years of international experience in venture capital and financial services.
