Drata, a trust management platform, has entered into an acquisition agreement with SafeBase, a Trust Center solution provider for enterprises.

This strategic move is designed to strengthen Drata’s capabilities in creating a comprehensive trust management platform, serving as the go-to “trust layer” between companies.

Drata’s acquisition of SafeBase aims to accelerate its ability to streamline security reviews and enhance vendor risk management, leveraging AI-driven automation. The acquisition will allow both companies to combine their efforts and provide the most comprehensive Trust Management platform.

While the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, the acquisition is expected to close later this month.

Drata is a leading platform in Trust Management that helps organizations automate and streamline their compliance, security, and risk management processes. By integrating continuous monitoring and automation, Drata enables companies to ensure trust and transparency across their operations. T

he platform empowers businesses to manage vendor risk, security reviews, and compliance requirements seamlessly, supporting the growing demand for comprehensive GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) solutions.

Founded in 2020, SafeBase has quickly become a key player in the Trust Center category. It helps enterprises build trust through transparency by providing a platform that simplifies security questionnaires, reducing the time spent on compliance tasks by up to 98%.

With a customer base that includes leading organizations like OpenAI, Twilio, Crowdstrike, and LinkedIn, SafeBase has helped businesses drive over $15bn in security-enabled revenue. SafeBase focuses on providing transparency and continuous compliance, key components in maintaining customer trust in an increasingly complex regulatory landscape.

The acquisition is being driven by the increased market demand for a comprehensive Trust Management platform, prompted by factors like the rising dependency on Cloud and AI technologies, stricter regulatory requirements such as DORA, ISO 42001, and the EU AI Act, as well as high-profile breaches and security risks.

Together, Drata and SafeBase aim to provide organizations with a seamless, adaptable solution that addresses these growing challenges, helping companies maintain compliance, enhance vendor risk management, and foster trust.

“Trust is now a competitive advantage that rests on a combination of speed and tangible proof, so there’s never been a more important time for organizations to prioritize compliance and vendor risk management, while eliminating the pain points within their GRC program,” said Drata Co-Founder and CEO Adam Markowitz.

“Together with SafeBase, we are empowering customers to continuously ensure and proactively communicate security, compliance and trust—with unrivaled market advantage.”

“As a pioneer of the Trust Center category, SafeBase has always been committed to addressing and solving our customers’ needs through unmatched innovations in automation and AI,” said SafeBase Co-Founder and CEO Al Yang. “Joining Drata marks another milestone in that commitment, where two customer-obsessed companies with aligned missions and cultures work together to redefine what’s possible in Trust Management. This union cements our position as the leading solution for the enterprise.”
