Comply Exchange teams up with SAP Ariba and PayPal to transform tax onboarding

Comply Exchange has announced a new strategic partnership with SAP Ariba and PayPal, in a move set to transform how businesses handle tax documentation and onboarding processes.

The collaboration aims to modernise compliance through automation and seamless integration, reaching millions of users already embedded in the SAP Ariba procurement network.

This initiative embeds Comply Exchange’s intelligent eForms technology directly into the SAP Ariba ecosystem. By doing so, it enables users to manage tax compliance at scale, eliminating many of the inefficiencies typically associated with tax form collection. Existing SAP Ariba users and partners can now integrate the solution into their existing workflows, enabling real-time validation and significantly reducing the administrative burden of onboarding.

Traditionally, the manual collection of IRS forms like W-8 and W-9 has been fraught with delays, inaccuracies, and operational risks. The partnership offers a digital-first alternative, allowing suppliers and payees to complete tax forms electronically within the SAP Ariba platform. The forms include embedded guidance to help users avoid errors and comply with U.S. tax regulations more easily.

Once submitted, the forms are validated in real time. Users receive immediate insights into form status, eligibility for reduced withholding rates, and access to a secure PDF version of the completed document. Importantly, critical data points are automatically transmitted to SAP Ariba via API, ensuring that the tax onboarding process is fully digitised, traceable, and audit-ready.

For more information on the partnership, Comply Exchange has a short video outlining how the integration works with SAP Ariba.
