1Kosmos, a US-based leader in unifying identity proofing and passwordless authentication, has closed a $57m Series B funding round.
The investment, which includes a $10m line of credit from Bridge Bank, was led by Forgepoint Capital and Origami’s Oquirrh Ventures. Other participants included Craig Abod, founder and president of Carahsoft, NextEra Energy Ventures, Gula Tech Adventures, and the 1Kosmos management team.
The company provides an identity-first security platform that combines live biometrics, verified identity, and phishing-resistant authentication. Its technology aims to stop impersonation-based attacks before they begin, addressing vulnerabilities in account recovery processes exploited by social engineering and fraudulent credentials.
Funds from the Series B will be used to advance product innovation, accelerate global expansion, and strengthen technology integrations with leading IAM, CIAM, PAM, and zero trust platforms. The company plans to scale its direct and channel sales presence across North America, EMEA, and APAC.
1Kosmos has achieved several notable milestones in recent months. It became the only full-service Kantara-certified credential service provider to achieve FedRAMP High authorisation, certifying its platform for the US government’s most security-sensitive workloads. In partnership with Carahsoft, it also secured a 10-year, $194.5m blanket purchase agreement to supply next-generation identity proofing to Login.gov, the authentication service used across multiple US federal agencies.
