PSA Solutions and Strise have announced a strategic partnership designed to help law firms navigate increasingly demanding anti-money laundering (AML) regulations.
The collaboration integrates PSA’s widely used Custodian Client Onboarding system with Strise’s AML automation technology, enabling legal firms to manage complex compliance processes from a single platform.
The move follows growing pressure from regulators, including the Norwegian Advokattilsynet and the UK’s Solicitors Regulation Authority, which highlighted in July 2025 risk assessments significant shortcomings in areas such as source-of-funds checks, opaque ownership structures, and ongoing monitoring practices. By combining PSA’s legal tech expertise with Strise’s AML capabilities, the partnership seeks to address these regulatory gaps head-on.
Specifically, law firms will be able to automate Know Your Business (KYB) and due diligence checks, ensuring low-risk clients can be cleared swiftly while high-risk cases receive immediate escalation.
The platform also facilitates ownership mapping, including identifying ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs) across complex or cross-border structures, strengthening firms’ ability to meet global sanctions requirements.
Other capabilities include continuous monitoring for changes in sanctions status, ownership structures, politically exposed persons (PEP) designations, or adverse media, as well as holistic risk assessments uniting data from multiple sources.
PSA Solutions senior director Bjørn Tore Aurlien said, “Firms face rising expectations around anti-money laundering and sanctions compliance. By connecting Strise’s proven AML technology to Custodian, we provide law firms with a powerful solution to meet these obligations in a more efficient and reliable way.”
Strise CEO Marit Rødevand added, “This partnership combines the strengths of two industry leaders. PSA is a trusted provider to law firms, while Strise has pioneered AML automation for financial institutions. Together, we bring this expertise to the legal sector.”
PSA Solutions serves over 280 clients across the Nordics from offices in Oslo, Stockholm, Warsaw, and Helsinki, delivering cloud platforms like Custodian and partnering with leading legal tech providers such as iManage, DocuSign, and Litera.
