Kertos bags €14m to expand European compliance suite

Kertos, a Munich-based compliance technology company, has raised €14m in a Series A funding round.

The firm, founded by a former lawyer alongside co-founders with backgrounds in product and engineering, positions itself as Europe’s “compliance desk” for SMEs and scaleups.

The €14m investment comes as part of Kertos’ mission to simplify and automate compliance. The investors behind the round were not disclosed.

Kertos specialises in automating regulatory workflows for European companies, starting with GDPR data subject requests and later expanding into frameworks such as ISO 27001, ISO 42001, NIS2, DORA, and TISAX.

The company pitches itself as an all-in-one suite that reduces the burden of evidence collection, audits, and policy rewrites by introducing automation and AI-driven processes. Its Peer-to-Peer Trust Graph also allows firms to reuse verified compliance controls across their customer and supplier networks.

The company plans to use the newly raised funds to deepen its automation capabilities, grow the Trust Graph network, and further develop outcome-driven compliance tools.
