Kyckr, a UK-based RegTech firm specialising in business verification and monitoring, has appointed Ian Jones as its new chief technology officer (CTO).
According to FinTech Finance, Jones arrives with nearly 30 years of technology experience, having held senior roles across tech infrastructure and financial services.
Prior to joining Kyckr, he served as CTO at OpenPlay, director of technology at payments platform xMoney, and technical product director for Equiniti’s global payments platform, EQ Pay.
Kellet’s appointment marks a return to Kyckr, where he previously worked as a solutions engineer between 2022 and 2024. The company said both hires are intended to accelerate product development as it looks to build on strong momentum recorded in the second half of 2025, during which it delivered 60% revenue growth.
Founded in 2022, Kyckr operates a business verification and monitoring platform focused on anti-money laundering (AML), fraud prevention, and third-party risk assessment. The firm has offices in the UK, Ireland, and Australia, counts over 300 companies on its network, and reached profitability in 2024.
