Copperhelm raises $7m to launch agentic cloud security

Copperhelm

Copperhelm, a cybersecurity startup specialising in agentic cloud security, has emerged from stealth with $7m in seed funding and the launch of what it describes as the industry’s first agentic cloud security platform.

The round was led by TLV Partners, with additional participation from toDay Ventures, ICON, and SaaS Ventures Israel. Notable angel investors joining the raise include Kfir Tishbi, Or Hiltch, Guy Zipori, and Ephraim Yarmak. As part of the announcement, Shay Michel, managing partner at Merlin Ventures, will join Copperhelm’s board of directors.

The capital will be directed towards accelerating product development, expanding go-to-market efforts, and growing Copperhelm’s engineering team. The company says it is already serving paying customers, among them Fortune 500 enterprises.

One such customer used the platform to reduce 6 million raw findings down to a few hundred evidence-backed, validated risks — dramatically reducing the burden on engineering teams and enabling faster action on the most critical exposures.

At the heart of Copperhelm’s approach is its Context Lake, a real-time decision layer that structures and connects cloud data across environments, allowing AI agents to investigate and remediate risk with precision. The platform deploys specialised agents covering network analysis, system behaviour, adversary simulation, and automated remediation. These agents connect directly to live workloads, inspect active processes and container images, map cloud network topology, and deploy targeted protections — such as WAF rules — without causing downtime.

Copperhelm was founded by Shimon Tolts, Eyar Zilberman, and Roman Labunsky, a team with backgrounds spanning Unity, McAfee, and RSA. Collectively, their credentials include recognition as AWS Heroes, a CNCF Ambassador, a GitHub Star, and membership of the Y Combinator alumni network. The company was built to close what its founders see as a persistent gap in enterprise cloud security — the continued reliance on manual workflows in environments that are too complex and fragmented for general-purpose AI tools to navigate effectively.

The company’s platform is designed for CISOs and security teams at large enterprises, enabling AI agents to handle continuous monitoring, threat investigation, and vulnerability remediation, while security professionals retain oversight and focus on the highest-priority risks.

Copperhelm CEO and co-founder Shimon Tolts said, “Engineering teams got AI years ago; security was left behind doing manual work. Copperhelm finally brings true AI to cloud security. It’s like instantly adding twenty senior engineers to your team.”

TLV Partners co-founder and managing partner Rona Segev said, “Applying AI to cloud security requires deep architectural expertise, not just generic models with integrations. Shimon, Eyar, and Roman are true cloud veterans and the right team to bring autonomous AI into this space and shape the future of cloud defense.”
