Cyera and Snowflake tighten AI agent data security

Cyera

Cyera, an AI security platform designed for the age of agents, has announced a deepened integration with cloud data platform Snowflake, aimed at helping enterprises govern and protect sensitive data as they scale AI agent deployments.

The expanded partnership, unveiled at Snowflake Summit 26, introduces three new integrations. The first, now generally available, enables one-click remediation of risky data access through Snowflake Access Governance, connecting Cyera’s column-level data discovery directly to native tag-based dynamic masking and least-privilege enforcement, without disrupting existing pipelines or downstream queries.

The second, Cyera AI Guardian, is set for private preview in July and extends Cyera’s AI Security Posture Management capabilities to Snowflake Cortex AI, automatically cataloguing every Cortex service, classifying the sensitive data each agent interacts with, and mapping associated Snowflake identities.

The third integration, also generally available, brings natural-language risk analysis into Snowflake Cortex Analyst, allowing joint customers to query data risks, exposure levels and compliance posture in plain language, generating executive-ready reports without requiring SQL, an MCP server or prompt engineering.

The integrations are designed to address a growing challenge facing organisations deploying AI agents on Snowflake for analytics, automation and decision-making: as adoption accelerates, so does the need for governance. Cyera says its platform can discover and classify exabytes of data with over 95% precision, identify sensitive records at risk and enforce access controls in real time using native Snowflake policies.

Cyera positions itself as an AI security platform built specifically for enterprises operating in an environment where AI agents are increasingly handling sensitive data. Its capabilities span data discovery and classification, access governance and AI security posture management, all designed to integrate with existing enterprise data infrastructure rather than replacing it.

Snowflake SVP of worldwide alliances and channels Amy Kodl said, “Security and data leaders are under enormous pressure to accelerate AI adoption without losing control of their competitive edge – their data. With Cyera, our customers can discover and protect sensitive data, gain visibility into how AI agents operate on Snowflake, and apply governance controls in real time, enabling faster adoption of Snowflake Cortex AI.”

OneDigital director of analytics Jason Westingskow said, “Cyera gives us clear visibility into sensitive data in Snowflake today, so we can understand risk and prioritize protection with confidence. We’re excited about what Snowflake Access Governance enables when paired with Cyera’s data intelligence—bringing sensitivity context into governance decisions to help scale consistent access controls across the business.”

Cyera chief strategy officer Jason Clark said, “Every CISO and CDO I talk to is being asked the same question: how do we move faster on AI without losing control of our data? Snowflake is the foundation for enterprise AI, and our expanded partnership ensures that foundation is secure by design. With Cyera, joint customers can see every Cortex AI agent, understand exactly what data it touches, and govern access at the column level, turning data security into the engine that accelerates AI adoption.”
