Cyera hits $12bn valuation as AI security demand surges

Cyera

Cyera, a data security platform building infrastructure to govern enterprise AI, has secured $600m in its latest funding round, pushing its valuation to $12bn, quadrupling its worth over the past 18 months.

The round was led by Evolution Equity Partners, with Cyberstarts and Temasek also participating alongside existing backers including Accel, AT&T Ventures, Blackstone, Coatue and Spark Capital. The raise brings Cyera’s total funding to over $2bn, placing it among the most valuable privately held security companies globally.

The capital will accelerate development of what Cyera describes as the trust layer for enterprise AI, the infrastructure that determines what AI systems can access and act upon within an organisation. The company points to a structural gap at the heart of current AI deployment: as of 2026, 68% of organisations are unable to distinguish between human and AI agent activity within their own systems. While the industry has invested heavily in chips, models and compute, the governance layer has lagged behind.

Over the past year, Cyera has shipped more than 100 new product capabilities spanning Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), privacy, identity, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and agentic security. The platform is described as the only one purpose-built to unify DSPM, DLP, identity and behaviour in a single offering, and is capable of discovering and classifying exabytes of data with 95%+ precision while identifying sensitive records and enforcing access controls without disrupting existing workflows.

The company has tripled its annual recurring revenue for three consecutive years and has grown to over 1,500 employees across 18 countries over the past 18 months. In that same period, Cyera completed five acquisitions, most recently Ryft and Genie, which added specialised technology to strengthen the platform’s ability to govern AI at enterprise scale.

Cyera co-founder and CEO Yotam Segev said, “Our customers are some of the most sophisticated companies in the world. The one thing they all share is the urgency to lead AI transformation at a scale and speed the world has never seen. Trust is what makes that possible – knowing what your AI can see and do. That’s the infrastructure layer the industry has been missing, and it’s what we’ve been building alongside our customers since day one. Cyera is that trust layer, and this funding is fuel to build it faster for every company trying to win in today’s agentic era.”

AT&T CISO Rich Baich said, “In a world where data is the fuel for innovation, Cyera helps provide us with visibility and context to enable secure AI at scale. It helps us accelerate AI adoption by knowing and controlling what AI can see and do.”
