Palo Alto Networks has revealed plans to acquire Embrace, a specialist in user-focused observability, as it pushes its Observability platform into Digital Experience Monitoring.
The proposed deal will bring Embrace’s high-fidelity Real User Monitoring (RUM) technology into the Palo Alto Networks Observability platform. Alongside the acquisition, the company is launching Synthetics, a capability developed in-house by its Autonomous Digital Experience Management (ADEM) team, which proactively checks how applications perform from locations around the world using the firm’s globally distributed infrastructure.
Together, the additions are designed to give customers a single, unified picture spanning end-user interactions, proactive application validation, backend software and infrastructure. The company argues that modern applications have become so complex and autonomous that organisations require complete performance visibility, while legacy tooling remains fragmented, expensive and prone to missing broken user experiences.
According to the firm, the expanded platform will let organisations remove blindspots by monitoring user experience and infrastructure health through one interface, avoid revenue-damaging downtime by pairing Embrace’s monitoring with its own deep data analytics to isolate complex performance problems, and detect issues before customers or employees ever notice them.
Palo Alto Networks is best known as the world’s largest cybersecurity company, and has been building out its Observability business, which passed $300m in ARR in Q3 FY26 following its acquisition of Chronosphere in January 2026. It was also named a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Observability Platforms for the third year running, and took the top spot for Observability Cost Control in the 2026 Gartner Critical Capabilities report.
