Fingerprint surpasses $50m ARR amid AI fraud surge

Fingerprint, the device intelligence provider used by thousands of organisations worldwide to fight fraud, has confirmed it has passed $50m in annual recurring revenue (ARR), a threshold the firm calls a defining point in its growth story.

The figure caps a period of rapid expansion for the business, which has seen revenue climb by close to 200% over the last two years as more enterprises look to device intelligence to counter fraud built on artificial intelligence.

Alongside this, Fingerprint’s customer numbers have risen by 93% over the same period, and the company now operates across 56 countries.

More than 6,000 organisations currently rely on Fingerprint to track over one billion distinct devices each month, while its systems process upwards of 80 million real-time API events daily. Fingerprint says this scale gives clients clearer sight of emerging fraud patterns, helping them avert more than $1bn in losses each year without adding friction for genuine users.

The announcement comes as fraud actors increasingly turn to AI to run sophisticated, large-scale attacks that many established fraud prevention tools struggle to catch, using automated scripts to carry out rapid credential stuffing and account takeovers.

Fingerprint argues that countering this shift requires a layered, adaptive approach built around a fuller picture of user identity, which it delivers by analysing hundreds of device signals together with more than 20 Smart Signals.

The company says it is now focused on identifying malicious AI agents and automated tools, having introduced its Authorized AI Agent Detection offering this year, alongside AI Assistant Detection and a preview version of its Automation Intelligence API.

The Authorized AI Agent Detection offering works with a network of AI agent providers, among them OpenAI, AWS AgentCore, Browserbase, Manus and Anchor Browser. Through this network, Fingerprint clients can identify verified agentic AI activity with complete certainty, making it possible to separate legitimate, permissioned automated traffic from harmful bots and scraping tools.

Its AI Assistant Detection tool, built on the Automation Intelligence API, gives businesses verified, real-time insight into traffic generated by major AI assistants, and does this without needing any client-side JavaScript.

Dan Pinto, CEO and co-founder of Fingerprint, said, “Surpassing $50 million in ARR is a defining milestone for Fingerprint and one that only a small fraction of startups ever achieve.

“It’s a testament to the relentless innovation of our employees, the trust of our customers, and the confidence of our investors. This milestone reflects what we’ve built together and the opportunity still ahead.”

Pinto added, “Device intelligence will be the foundation of the next generation of fraud prevention. As AI continues to blur the line between trusted users and sophisticated automation, organizations need continuous, real-time intelligence to make confident trust decisions. That’s why we’re continuing to invest in innovations that help enterprises stay ahead of the next generation of fraud.”
