Cylake raises $245m to rebuild sovereign cybersecurity

Cylake

Cylake, the cybersecurity platform built around full operational sovereignty for regulated organisations, has closed a $245m funding round ahead of the beta launch of its next-generation security product.

The round was completed through a convertible note, with backing from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Picture Capital and Redpoint Ventures. It takes Cylake’s total funding to $290m, following a $45m seed round in March 2026 that was led by Greylock Partners.

The fresh capital will go towards further developing Cylake’s AI-native, fully sovereign cybersecurity platform, alongside continued expansion of its team. Cylake is currently working alongside a group of leading design partners to build a cyber platform aimed at highly regulated commercial and government bodies. A beta version of the product is due by the end of 2026, with general availability targeted for 2027.

The platform is designed for organisations that need comprehensive cybersecurity while retaining complete sovereignty over their data. It is built to run wholly on premises or within private cloud settings, giving organisations full oversight of their data, infrastructure and operations. This approach also means Cylake can operate from a single, unified data foundation, closing the coverage gaps that typically create vulnerabilities, while giving AI-driven workflows a complete view across the environment.

Since coming out of stealth in March, Cylake has grown its engineering and product teams and strengthened its collaboration with design partners in preparation for beta. Headcount has now passed 40, and the company intends to keep expanding across engineering, product and other core functions.

Cylake CEO and founder Nir Zuk said, “We are building Cylake for organizations that cannot compromise between adopting advanced cybersecurity technology and maintaining control of their data and infrastructure. In those cases, the public cloud is not the right operating model. The architecture needs to be rebuilt around complete data, sovereignty, and control for an AI-native world. This investment lets us accelerate that work.”
