WorkFusion is widening its managed services network so that banks and other financial institutions are no longer tied to a single model for deploying agentic AI across their anti-money laundering operations.
Under the expansion, partners within the UiPath ecosystem, including Capgemini, Deloitte, Mphasis and Protiviti, can pair their own specialist knowledge and delivery resources with WorkFusion’s AI agents. Financial institutions can apply these combined offerings to transaction monitoring investigations, know your customer (KYC) checks, sanctions screening alert review and enhanced due diligence.
Institutions now have four routes to adoption. They can run the WorkFusion and UiPath technology in-house, bring in a partner to handle implementation and specialised operational support, blend partner expertise with WorkFusion’s agents, or buy defined financial crime capabilities as a managed service. WorkFusion says the benefits of its technology hold under each of these commercial and delivery arrangements.
The approach reflects the view that no single operating model suits every institution. A large global bank may want several deployment options, while another firm may need external specialists to support rollout or bolster its in-house team.
Others may prefer a partner to run an entire capability, or even supply results as a service. Because the core technology stays constant while the operating model shifts, firms can select partners on the basis of specialism, location, capacity, existing relationships and business needs, then adjust as those needs change.
Partners are also moving beyond pure implementation work. They can build WorkFusion capabilities into the services they already supply, creating managed offerings across transaction monitoring, KYC, screening, enhanced due diligence and wider financial crime operations.
According to the company, this cuts the internal operations and technology resources customers need and speeds up time to value, turning the discussion away from buying more software and towards securing a defined operational result.
WorkFusion frames the model as a hybrid workforce. Partners contribute trained financial crime professionals and domain knowledge, while the AI agents supply pre-built capacity, automation, consistency and scale. Agents handle defined tasks, leaving experienced staff to apply judgement and oversight where it counts most.
The company says this can lift capacity and throughput, raise analyst productivity, strengthen risk management and allow operations to grow without matching rises in headcount. For managed-service providers, it can also reshape delivery economics by letting teams process larger volumes while focusing specialist staff on higher-value work.
WorkFusion is a UiPath company that builds AI agents designed for financial crime compliance.
WorkFusion CEO Adam Famularo said, “In financial crime compliance, the pace of technology innovation means that the operating model that made sense yesterday may not make sense tomorrow. An ecosystem of specialized providers gives financial institutions alternatives for expertise, capacity and geographic coverage while maintaining a trusted technology foundation. That provides something increasingly valuable in a rapidly changing financial crime environment: the ability to evolve.”
