Blee, an AI-first marketing compliance platform, has raised $20m in a Series A round designed to help legal, compliance, and brand teams keep pace with the surge in AI-generated marketing content.
The round was co-led by Fin Capital and SMBC Fin Atlas Beyond Fund, with participation from Hannah Grey VC and National Bank of Canada. Existing backers Y Combinator, Penny Jar Capital, Cardumen Capital and Treasury also returned, taking the New York-based company’s total funding to $27 million.
The raise comes as enterprise marketing teams lean increasingly on AI to produce content at a pace unimaginable two years ago, with the volume set to climb further as AI agents begin generating campaign material on companies’ behalf.
Blee points to Gartner research showing that marketing leaders expect the share of content produced through AI-driven automation to more than double, rising from 16% this year to 36% by 2028. The company argues that review processes run by legal, compliance and brand teams have not kept up with that pace of output.
Blee’s platform sits alongside the tools marketing teams already use, layering AI-driven feedback across regulatory, legal, compliance and brand criteria before material goes out for review.
According to the company, legal and compliance teams that adopt Blee cut their average review times by as much as 65%, freeing marketing and sales teams to publish with greater confidence.
The platform covers the full workflow ahead of publication, from submission through approval and comment cycles, and keeps a complete audit trail throughout. Once content goes live, Blee continues to track it, including influencer posts on social media and external websites, to flag any regulatory or brand issues that emerge after the fact.
The fresh capital will go toward broadening its capabilities across the content lifecycle, entering new industries and geographies, and reaching legal, compliance, marketing and brand leaders at large organisations still handling the problem through manual processes.
Blee Founder and CEO Guy Shahar said, “Marketing teams are producing more content, across more channels, faster than ever, and legal and compliance teams are still expected to review all of it manually, with tools that weren’t built for the job.
“Whether it’s video campaigns, affiliate content, or digital ads, the volume will only grow as AI agents automate creation. The companies that set up their content governance layer now are going to be in a very different position than the ones that wait.”
Fin Capital General Partner Matthew Mann said, “We’ve been watching the problem of content growth for enterprise marketing teams across industries and within our network for years. Blee is the first platform we’ve seen that’s actually built for the scale of it.”
