SixMap, a cybersecurity company based in Berkeley, California, provides attack surface management solutions to major government and enterprise clients.
The company has raised $7m in a new funding round led by IAG Capital Partners. TRE Advisors also participated, alongside existing backers DataTribe and the California Innovation Fund. This latest raise brings SixMap’s total funding to $22.05m.
Founded in 2020, SixMap uses advanced computational mapping to give organisations complete visibility of their digital infrastructure from the attacker’s perspective. Its platform maps more than 60,000 ports—far beyond traditional scanning tools—to identify potential vulnerabilities and blind spots that other cyber tools often miss.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate SixMap’s go-to-market growth, fund new product development, and expand its team. With increased demand for more precise and proactive cybersecurity tools, the company aims to meet the growing expectations of CISOs seeking advanced threat visibility.
SixMap’s technology is currently trusted by U.S. federal agencies and Fortune 500 companies.
SixMap CEO Jason Kaplan said, “We’ve proven to the most security-demanding organizations that SixMap provides visibility that others miss. CISOs know their current tools leave blind spots. SixMap closes that gap. This funding allows us to scale faster, expand our go-to-market team, and bring true visibility to more organizations that can’t afford to settle for incomplete data.”
IAG Capital Partners managing partner Dennis Sacha added, “IAG invests in deep-tech companies solving the most challenging problems. Complete visibility into your attack surface is a pain point that SixMap solves with a level of precision and scale we haven’t seen elsewhere. SixMap’s traction in federal and enterprise markets is just the beginning.”
Mike Janke, co-founder and managing partner at DataTribe, said, “DataTribe looks for companies that can fundamentally shift how security problems are solved and SixMap is one of them.
“The opportunity in front of SixMap is massive. CISOs are demanding better visibility and SixMap’s technology doesn’t just meet that need, it redefines what’s possible. We’re excited to continue collaborating closely with the SixMap team to help build a world-class cybersecurity company that is poised to make a difference in how organizations understand and secure their digital environments.”
There have been a number of CyberTech companies to raise funds over the past week. For instance, preemptive cyber defence firm Angur secured $7m for its seed round, while virtual chief information security officer platform Cynomi raised $37m for its Series B.
