Endor Labs raises $93m to boost AI-era AppSec platform development

Endor Labs has closed a $93m Series B funding round to further its efforts in securing the growing wave of AI-generated software code.

The oversubscribed round was led by DFJ Growth and included backing from Salesforce Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Coatue, Dell Technologies Capital, Section 32, and Citi Ventures.

Endor Labs is known for its innovative approach to application security (AppSec), especially in the context of today’s fast-evolving development practices. Its platform currently protects over 5 million applications and conducts more than 1 million security scans each week. Clients include OpenAI, Rubrik, People.ai, Observe.ai, Mysten Labs, and numerous global financial institutions.

The new capital will be used to expand Endor Labs’ AppSec platform, which is engineered specifically for the challenges posed by AI-generated code and what the company calls “vibe coding.” The platform leverages agentic AI and a comprehensive security dataset to not only detect threats but also prioritise and remediate them—often automatically—before they reach production environments.

This funding round also coincides with the launch of an enhanced version of the platform, which embeds AI agents directly into the software development lifecycle. Unlike conventional tools that only issue alerts, these agents can take corrective actions, reducing the window of exposure to potential threats.

DFJ Growth venture partner Ramin Sayar said, “Developers’ increasing reliance on AI-generated code further complicates the challenge for security teams. Endor Labs embraces this shift with their unparalleled expertise in rethinking security from the ground up – and outing risky AI-generated code and uniquely optimizing remediation strategies.”

Endor Labs co-founder and CEO Varun Badhwar added, “We are building for the scale required to secure this AI era and not letting intermediate market volatility diverge us from our big goals. Our marquee customers need an application security platform that supports the pace of development they are confronting with AI. It is an honor to be that platform, to do a raise proactively, at a time like this, and to get to work with such quality investors, who share our commitment to excellence and innovation.”

The latest investment highlights Endor Labs’ rapid ascent since its Series A 18 months ago, during which it has seen 30x growth in annual recurring revenue and achieved a 166% net revenue retention rate.
