Equixly secures €10m to expand agentic AI API security

Equixly, an Italy-based cybersecurity company focused on automated API security testing, has secured €10m in Series A funding to accelerate the growth of its proprietary agentic AI platform.

The round was led by 33N Ventures, with participation from Alpha Intelligence Capital, alongside existing investors JME Ventures, 360 Capital and Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze, according to a report from tech.eu.

Equixly develops an AI-driven API security testing platform designed to simulate human attackers. Its proprietary agentic AI infrastructure performs autonomous, continuous and scalable testing, enabling security and engineering teams to identify complex exposures earlier in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Equixly’s solution is delivered as a cloud-based SaaS with KPI-led insights, flexible scheduling, a yearly subscription priced by API endpoints, and an endpoint discovery capability that identifies shadow APIs and classifies sensitive data.

Its user-centric dashboard provides a holistic view of an organisation’s API risk posture, while panels for project onboarding, vulnerability summaries and an AI-driven Smart API Graph help teams manage and visualise their architectures effectively.

The company plans to use the funding to expand its team, further enhance its proprietary AI models and accelerate international expansion. Its first major geographic move will be the launch of a UK sales and marketing hub early next year.

Equixly CEO and co-founder Mattia Dalla Piazza said, “Equixly is making advanced security testing continuous, autonomous and accessible to every development and security team. With agentic AI infrastructure and models fully built in-house, teams get the human-level reasoning they need at the scale modern software demands, while ensuring maximum control over data and preserving privacy.”
