KYC Portal unveils custom search lists to streamline compliance workflows

KYC Portal has introduced a new feature designed to significantly improve how compliance teams manage tasks across applications.

The latest update allows for the creation of pre-defined search lists—customised views that enhance the visibility and allocation of compliance actions, particularly in the context of perpetual KYC.

Traditionally, KYC and periodic reviews required compliance teams to conduct exhaustive, time-consuming assessments at set intervals. KYC Portal has changed this model by enabling real-time risk monitoring, which in turn generates an ongoing stream of micro-tasks. These could include actions like submitting updated documents, reviewing new data, or addressing alerts from third-party screening services. Rather than waiting for a single annual review, compliance teams can now act on issues as they emerge.

The result is a system that continuously generates a wide variety of tasks tied to individual user roles and application types. Some clients have adopted a structure where specific task types, such as document checks or screening alerts, are routed to specialised teams. Others prefer to allocate work based on application ownership, with entire cases assigned to specific team members.

Responding to client demand, KYC Portal has enhanced this workflow management with a feature that lets users build and save unlimited custom lists. These lists can be tailored using any filter or field from the platform’s Advanced Search functionality, including criteria like risk level, entity type, application status, or even specific data points such as a client name or PEP status.

Once configured, these search lists can be assigned visibility rules—only certain teams or users may access specific lists. This enables compliance managers to strategically guide teams toward priority cases or risk segments that require immediate attention.

The wider business advantage is clear: organisations can now generate task lists aligned with operational priorities, reducing compliance bottlenecks and improving resource allocation. Whether a firm wants to focus on high-risk applications, incomplete submissions, or upcoming renewals, this feature provides the flexibility and control needed to ensure proactive and ongoing compliance.
