Compliance technology has long carried a reputation for being the preserve of large financial institutions with deep pockets and dedicated IT teams.
KYCP is looking to change that with the launch of its Managed Services edition, known as KYCP-MS, a shared-instance model designed to bring the full capability of its risk engine to a broader range of organisations without the burden of private hosting or infrastructure upkeep.
The proposition is straightforward: firms gain access to KYCP’s award-winning compliance platform under a cost-effective arrangement, while the provider handles the technical environment on their behalf. Rather than maintaining their own cloud infrastructure or on-premise servers, clients operate within dedicated “Programmes” on a shared architecture, one that KYCP says is continuously optimised and kept current in line with its ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certifications.
At its core, KYCP-MS is structured as an infrastructure-as-a-service offering. The enterprise licence covers hosting, resource monitoring, and environment maintenance, removing what has traditionally been a significant operational overhead for compliance teams. Configuration management follows a similarly divided model: whilst clients retain control over defining their own compliance and due diligence frameworks, reflecting their internal risk appetite, the KYCP team handles the technical implementation of any changes. This is intended to eliminate the need for in-house technical specialists, a resource many smaller or mid-market firms struggle to retain.
The platform also integrates third-party data providers for screening and corporate registry services, alongside embedded identity verification processes. This data orchestration capability allows firms to run automated due diligence workflows directly within the live production environment.
Crucially, the shared-instance model does not appear to compromise on depth: KYCP says clients can operate unlimited workflows, risk models, and ongoing monitoring processes.
Perhaps the most strategically significant aspect of the offering is how it is positioned as a starting point rather than a ceiling. KYCP describes the MS Edition as a “live-first” approach, enabling organisations to deploy institutional-grade compliance immediately, with a clear migration path to a dedicated software-as-a-service or on-premise instance as their needs evolve.
