Mitek unifies revenue leadership amid fraud fight

Mitek Systems has appointed Aaron Seyler as its new chief revenue officer, putting him in charge of the company’s go-to-market organisation.

The move brings Mitek’s revenue-facing functions under one leader, with Seyler taking responsibility for sales, partnerships and channel strategy as the firm looks to sharpen its commercial focus across its identity and fraud prevention business.

Seyler joins from Vonage, an Ericsson company, where he ran a go-to-market organisation spanning 17 countries as CRO, scaling an API-based enterprise software business through a global partner and channel network, an approach that echoes how Mitek delivers its identity and fraud tools into customer onboarding, authentication and transaction processes.

Before Vonage, he led the go-to-market function at Telesign, a digital fraud and identity protection company, helping lift its revenue from around $200m to more than $600m while overseeing its expansion into international markets.

Mitek positions itself as a global leader in digital identity verification and fraud prevention. The press release does not provide further detail on the company’s wider product portfolio, headquarters or corporate history beyond its NASDAQ listing under the ticker MITK.

Mitek CEO Edward H. West said, “We are pleased to welcome Aaron to Mitek. Unifying our go-to-market functions under a single CRO creates greater alignment and accountability for growth. Aaron has a strong track record of driving revenue growth at global enterprise software businesses, including in digital identity and fraud, and we believe he is the right leader to drive the next phase of our growth.”

Mitek CRO Aaron Seyler said, “I have spent my career scaling enterprise revenue for software platform businesses, including in digital fraud and identity, and what stands out about Mitek is the trust it has earned with many of the world’s largest institutions, the banks and enterprises where protecting identity and assets is mission critical.

“That trust, together with the technology, data, and services ecosystem beneath it, is difficult to build and difficult to replicate. I am excited to bring our go-to-market teams together and, alongside our partners, help more of these institutions put Mitek’s capabilities to work against the growing threat of digital and AI-driven fraud.”
