OneClickComply, a Sunderland, UK-based platform that automates cyber security certification, has secured £1m in new investment, bringing its total funding to more than £2.4m.
The round was backed by the North East Accelerate Fund, which is managed by Mercia Ventures. Two Northstar Ventures vehicles, the Venture Sunderland Fund and the Northstar EIS Growth Fund, also took part.
The company plans to use the capital to expand its platform so that a larger share of compliance tasks can be completed automatically. It will also strengthen its sales and customer success functions to better support clients, and it expects to create four new roles in the North East.
The raise follows a period of rapid growth. OneClickComply has doubled its monthly recurring revenue over the past six months and aims to repeat that feat over the coming six. Since launching in 2024, the business has grown to a team of 12, and its client base spans everything from a major fast food brand to sole traders.
OneClickComply was built to address a common pressure on businesses, which are increasingly required to demonstrate that their systems are secure, often by prospective customers close to signing a deal. Traditionally, meeting that demand has involved months of work, external consultants and spreadsheets that are rarely revisited. The company’s platform handles as much as 90% of the effort needed to achieve Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certification. It continuously monitors IT environments, carries out penetration testing and vulnerability management, drafts policies and collects the evidence auditors require.
Rather than simply flagging problems, the platform resolves them, applying security configurations across Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and AWS in one click. After certification, it keeps tracking systems and corrects any changes that could undermine compliance, helping firms remain compliant well beyond the audit itself.
The North East Accelerate Fund invests up to £1m in early-stage businesses across the region. It was established by The North East Fund with backing from the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority, led by Mayor Kim McGuinness.
OneClickComply co-founder and CEO Connor Greig said, “Every business now gets asked to prove its systems are secure, usually by a customer who’s about to sign. The answer shouldn’t be three months and a consultant.
“We automate 90% of the work, fix the issues we find instead of just reporting them, and keep everything in place afterwards, which is the part everyone forgets about. That’s why we’ve doubled revenue in six months, because this problem isn’t going anywhere.”
Mercia Ventures’ Owen Conquest said, “OneClickComply offers a unique value proposition through its ability to automatically detect and remediate data compliance issues without the need for specialist intervention. This investment will support the company’s continued growth, enabling it to capitalise on the increasing demand for automated compliance solutions driven by strong regulatory and market tailwinds.”
