Oscilar, the agentic risk platform for financial institutions, has partnered with Conta Azul, part of Visma and one of Brazil’s leading cloud-based financial management and enterprise resource platforms for small and medium-sized businesses.
Conta Azul will deploy Oscilar’s fraud prevention, onboarding and case management tools to reinforce its risk operations as it pushes beyond financial management into payments, a move that comes as it continues serving more than 100,000 businesses across Brazil. The combined system will hand Conta Azul’s anti-fraud and engineering teams one real-time view of the customer journey, spanning onboarding right through to ongoing transaction monitoring.
The decision to work with Oscilar rested largely on the platform’s adaptability. It fits around Conta Azul’s existing data structure and links up with the third-party services already in use, equipping the fraud team with the speed and control needed to keep pace with shifting threats.
Conta Azul intends to expand its use of Oscilar’s agentic AI tools going forward. A natural-language copilot allows staff to build and tweak rules themselves, while a dedicated AI agent examines how past rules have performed and suggests refinements. AI-generated summaries of cases also give analysts a quicker grasp of investigations, sharpening both strategic decisions and daily operations.
Additional benefits of the tie-up include a single platform combining onboarding checks, transaction monitoring and case management in place of scattered tools; rule-building controls that sit directly with the fraud team rather than engineering; a schema-agnostic setup that adapts to Conta Azul’s own data; backtesting and shadow-mode testing that let changes be trialled before going live; and capacity built in to support Conta Azul’s growth into payments and its wider expansion within Visma.
The tie-up extends Oscilar’s presence across Latin America, a region where financial institutions are increasingly turning to unified, agentic risk infrastructure to keep up with evolving fraud and regulatory pressures.
Bruno Coconici Rodrigues, Head of Fraud at Conta Azul, said, “Brazil is an incredibly demanding fraud market and as Conta Azul grows from financial management into payments, the stakes for our customers only get higher. We wanted a platform our team could run ourselves, building and adjusting our own rules and testing new ideas without waiting on engineering. Oscilar gives us that autonomy plus the freedom to connect our own data and the tools we already use.”
Oscilar co-founder and CEO Neha Narkhede said, “Conta Azul has spent more than a decade helping Brazilian businesses manage their finances, and as it moves deeper into payments, its fraud team has to move as fast as threats do. Our platform puts that control in their hands. They build and adjust rules in plain language, and AI agents help sharpen detection as the patterns shift. We are investing heavily in Brazil and Latin America, and Conta Azul is exactly the kind of team we want to grow with.”
