Overwatch Data lands $15m for AI threat intelligence

Overwatch Data, an AI-native platform for threat intelligence and risk operations, has secured $15m in a Series A round to help cyber, fraud and risk teams respond to the rising volume of attacks fuelled by artificial intelligence.

Mouro Capital led the investment. Visa Ventures and Capital One Ventures joined as strategic participants, while PruVen Capital and New Era Capital Partners returned with follow-on backing.

The firm plans to use the capital to push its AI agents into more stages of the risk lifecycle. This includes ongoing monitoring, investigations within criminal underground networks, merchant onboarding and due diligence.

Overwatch Data is also expanding its workforce, with open roles in engineering, investigations and sales.

According to the company, AI has made attacks less expensive, quicker and far more frequent. Citing FBI figures, it noted that losses to cybercrime in the US reached $20.9bn in 2025, a 26% rise year-on-year. The business argues that most risk functions still operate at human pace and in silos, with cyber, fraud and onboarding teams each viewing only one part of the same attacker’s activity.

Overwatch Data’s agents gather adversarial signals from wherever they emerge, filter out irrelevant noise, link patterns across multiple sources and take an investigation all the way to a suggested decision. Each recommendation comes with supporting evidence so analysts can confirm the outcome. Every verified investigation is added to a shared knowledge base, meaning the platform improves as more customers use it, allowing teams to shift from reactive triage to proactive operations at scale.

The company said one regional bank client reported spotting six times as many critical threats at greater speed, while reducing manual triage by over 20 hours per analyst each week. Visa is currently a customer of the platform.
