ZeroRisk, the Dublin-headquartered cybersecurity company helping banks and payment providers manage and reduce cyber risk across their merchant portfolios, has closed a $10m Series A funding round.
The financing was led by MiddleGame Ventures, with continued backing from existing investor Elkstone. The fresh capital will fund ZeroRisk’s international expansion, further development of its platform and the operational capacity needed to roll the technology out across large merchant portfolios.
ZeroRisk already counts Bank of America, Global Payments, Checkout.com and Trust Payments among its payment industry clients. The business expects revenue to triple during 2026 as contracted programmes move into deployment and its customer base abroad continues to grow.
Established in 2023, ZeroRisk gives banks and payment providers a consolidated view of cyber exposure across their entire merchant base. Its platform brings together risk monitoring, compliance support, education, guided remediation and protective services in one system, giving merchants clear guidance on the threats most relevant to them and practical steps to address those threats.
Merchant cyber programmes have traditionally centred on annual compliance exercises. But the risks facing smaller businesses now extend well beyond compliance, spanning scams, stolen credentials, vulnerable websites, attacks on connected devices and the ability to recover once an incident occurs.
ZeroRisk also helps payment processors turn their compliance obligations into new revenue opportunities by distributing value-adding services to merchants. The company operates across Ireland and the United States, with offices in Dublin, Longford and Atlanta.
ZeroRisk co-founder and CEO Gary Nolan said, “Payment companies have spent years trying to manage merchant risk through annual compliance exercises. That is no longer enough. Their customers are dealing with scams, credential theft, website vulnerabilities and attacks on devices every day. Our job is to give payment providers visibility across the portfolio and give merchants a clear route to action.”
Gary Nolan added, “ZeroRisk has moved from proving the product to deploying it at scale. This investment will allow us to expand the team, deepen the platform and support the payment providers that have chosen to build their next-generation of merchant cyber programmes with us.”
