Signicat, a European leader in identity services, has launched ReuseID, a digital identity solution that allows organisations to create, manage, and reuse verified identities across platforms and countries.
The release comes as Europe advances the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet), enforces eIDAS 2.0, and faces growing demand for secure, user-focused identity systems. ReuseID is designed to address the risks associated with fragmented identity tools, which often leave businesses exposed to fraud.
Signicat specialises in providing trusted digital identity and fraud prevention solutions to financial services, eCommerce, government, and other regulated industries. The company’s expertise centres on secure onboarding, authentication, and compliance with European regulatory frameworks.
The new product, ReuseID, delivers a reusable identity model that reduces onboarding friction, lowers operational costs, and supports regulatory compliance. Businesses are able to control the entire identity process under their own brand, offering users a single, secure identity that can be used across multiple platforms and borders.
Key features of ReuseID include the ability for organisations to gather consented and validated user data, integration options such as SDKs and white-labelled applications, and adherence to regulations including GDPR, PSD2, SCA, and eIDAS. The platform enables businesses to unify onboarding and authentication while providing customers with standardised experiences across ecosystems and geographies.
Early use cases across banking, payments, eCommerce, and iGaming have demonstrated reductions in fraud exposure, faster onboarding, improved KYC compliance, and stronger anti-fraud measures aligned with Secure Customer Authentication (SCA).
Findings from Signicat’s recent research, The Battle in the Dark, revealed that while 74% of European businesses believe they are effectively addressing fraud, 1 in 5 transactions remains fraudulent and fewer than half track the financial impact of fraud. These figures highlight the need for robust identity solutions such as ReuseID.
Signicat chief product officer Pinar Alpay said, “From anti-money laundering directives to stringent data protection frameworks, organisations in regulated financial and technology sectors face mounting pressure to comply with evolving digital identity requirements. ReuseID unifies onboarding and ongoing authentication with a single reusable identity, enabling users to verify once and securely access services across borders and platforms, while businesses maintain full control under their own brand”.
Alpay added, “After years of refining trusted identity solutions, ReuseID consolidates Signicat’s expertise into one secure, reusable platform ready to support digital businesses across Europe. Our solution is tailored to meet today’s regulatory demands and tomorrow’s identity challenges, transforming how enterprises manage identity across platforms and borders”.
As reusable digital identity solutions gain momentum, ReuseID is positioned to support Europe’s upcoming digital identity framework. With interoperability at its core, the platform is designed to integrate into the emerging wallet ecosystem, offering enterprises a scalable solution to enhance digital trust, tackle fraud, and prepare for future regulatory developments.
