Smarsh integrates Claude Enterprise for AI compliance

Smarsh, a global provider of digital communications data and intelligence, has launched a new integration with Anthropic’s Claude Compliance API, enabling organisations to capture and govern Claude Enterprise interactions directly within its platform.

The integration allows customers to manage Claude Enterprise activity, including AI-generated conversations, prompts, files, and system events, through Smarsh Capture, bringing these interactions into existing compliance workflows and removing blind spots that have emerged as generative AI becomes embedded in everyday business operations.

The solution, Smarsh Capture for Claude Enterprise, provides organisations with a range of compliance capabilities. These include the ingestion of complete interactions such as text, files, and artefacts generated by Claude, as well as deleted messages and archived conversations. Organisations can also preserve data in their archive to support regulatory inquiries, identify emerging risk patterns and behavioural signals across AI usage, and gain insight into how AI-generated outputs shape business decisions and operations.

Smarsh empowers organisations to move from reactive oversight to proactive foresight by unlocking intelligence within digital communications. Through a cloud-native, AI-powered platform covering capture, archiving, and oversight, it helps regulated enterprises identify regulatory, reputational, and operational risks before they escalate.

The company is trusted by 18 of the top 20 banks across North America, Europe, and Asia, as well as leading brokerage firms, insurers, registered investment advisers, and government agencies.

By adding Claude Enterprise to its platform alongside more than 100 other communication channels, Smarsh provides a unified view of both human and AI-generated communications. Powered by the Claude Compliance API, the integration offers direct access to Claude Enterprise conversation data and activity logs within Smarsh’s unified platform for capture, supervision, and analytics.

Smarsh chief strategy officer Goutam Nadella said, “Organizations want to move quickly with AI, but they can’t afford to do so without proper governance. This integration enables our customers to adopt tools like Claude Enterprise while maintaining the transparency, control, and compliance required in regulated industries.”
