Team8, the Tel Aviv-founded venture firm that builds and invests in early-stage companies across cybersecurity, software infrastructure, FinTech and digital health, has secured $365m in fresh capital to expand its bets on the next generation of AI-native enterprise founders.
Of the total raised, $265m has been allocated to Team8 Capital’s third fund, while more than $100m has been set aside for follow-on investments in the firm’s most promising existing portfolio companies. The new capital lifts Team8’s total assets under management to nearly $2bn spread across eight funds, a figure built up since the firm was established in 2014.
The firm’s investment focus for this latest fund remains centred on Seed and Series A founders operating in cybersecurity, software infrastructure, FinTech and digital health.
Team8 said these are the sectors where artificial intelligence is generating the sharpest urgency and opportunity, alongside a growing need for companies built from inception to withstand enterprise-level scrutiny and adoption.
Team8 structures its support around a hands-on model rather than capital alone. The firm works alongside founders from a company’s earliest days, pairing investment with a multidisciplinary team of in-house builders and access to its network of enterprise C-level executives, known internally as its Villages.
This combination is designed to help portfolio companies refine their core problem, test their proposed solution, and scale more quickly and with greater confidence than they might otherwise achieve.
Team8 operates as a venture-creation and venture capital platform, meaning it does not simply write cheques into existing companies but also builds ventures internally alongside founders it identifies as having strong potential. The firm has continued to support what it calls its ProFounders across each stage of their company’s development, extending backing well beyond an initial investment and into later growth phases.
The firm framed the new capital as reinforcing its ability to focus on its founding priorities: identifying strong founders early, helping them build with clear purpose, and remaining engaged as long-term partners through subsequent stages of growth. Team8 also acknowledged the contribution of its limited partners, founding teams and wider community in reaching this point, describing the raise as another step in an ongoing journey rather than a conclusion.
