ZeroPath launches AI-driven code security platform after securing seed funding

ZeroPath, a cybersecurity company backed by Y Combinator, has announced the public launch of its AI-powered code security platform.

The company’s solution leverages large language models (LLMs) to detect complex security vulnerabilities within codebases.

In conjunction with the platform’s launch, ZeroPath has successfully closed its seed funding round, which was led by SurgePoint Capital. Other participants in the round include Y Combinator and angel investor Paul Graham.

ZeroPath’s platform integrates deep program analysis with LLMs to uncover intricate security flaws that traditional tools often miss. It has previously identified critical security risks such as remote code execution vulnerabilities, authorisation bypasses, and business logic flaws in large open-source repositories.

ZeroPath CTO Raphael Karger said, “Traditional security tools often rely on pattern matching and predefined rules, which can miss complex vulnerabilities that don’t fit known patterns.

“Our platform’s ability to understand context and business logic allows it to identify sophisticated security issues that would typically require manual code review by expert security researchers.”

Unlike conventional rule-based detection methods, ZeroPath’s solution utilises LLMs to scan vast amounts of code and validate potential vulnerabilities before flagging them for review. This approach has been particularly effective in uncovering business logic flaws and authentication vulnerabilities that would typically require extensive manual analysis. Moreover, the company’s technology has been lauded for its ability to deliver a lower false positive rate compared to traditional static analysis tools.
