Qevlar AI secures $14m to enhance cyber operations with autonomous tech

Qevlar AI, a trailblazer in the cybersecurity sector, has announced a significant capital infusion of $14m to expand its innovative approach to SOCs.

The funding aims to bolster the productivity of SOC teams, empowering them to more effectively tackle a rising tide of cyber threats.

The investment was spearheaded by EQT Ventures and Forgepoint Capital International, with notable contributions from industry veterans including Olivier Pomel, Florian Douetteau, and Mehdi Ghissassi. The round also marks the addition of Damien Henault, Managing Director at Forgepoint Capital International, to Qevlar AI’s Board of Directors.

At its core, Qevlar AI revolutionises the way cybersecurity operations are managed. The company leverages autonomous technology to enhance the precision and efficiency of threat detection and response. This advanced capability is increasingly crucial as cyber threats become more frequent and complex, exacerbated by the pervasive use of AI and generative AI technologies.

The funds will be directed towards accelerating Qevlar AI’s mission to transform SOC productivity. By automating routine tasks and improving threat response times, the company seeks to alleviate the pressure on cybersecurity teams, which are often bogged down by high volumes of alerts, including a substantial proportion of false positives.

Further enriching its portfolio, Qevlar AI has already demonstrated significant impact in streamlining security operations. Enterprises and managed security service providers utilizing its platform have achieved remarkable efficiencies, such as reducing the response time to malicious alerts and drastically cutting down the workload on human analysts.

In discussing the investment, Qevlar AI Co-Founder and CEO Ahmed Achchak remarked, “The mathematics of cybersecurity are fundamentally broken. When a single analyst can only properly investigate a small selection of alerts per day, yet faces hundreds or even thousands requiring attention, we’re asking humans to solve an impossible equation. Our autonomous agents don’t just assist analysts; they recalibrate what’s possible in security operations by conducting complete investigations that previously consumed hours in just seconds, with greater consistency and accuracy. As a result, SOCs can shift from being reactive alert factories to proactive threat hunters.”

This latest funding round follows earlier investments, highlighting sustained investor confidence in Qevlar AI’s cutting-edge solutions and its potential to redefine cybersecurity practices.
