In 2025, the European RegTech market recorded a recovery in funding alongside a slight increase in deal activity compared with 2024.
The year closed with 122 deals, representing a 10% increase from the 111 transactions recorded in 2024, but still a steep 55% decline from the 269 deals completed in 2021.
Total funding in 2025 reached $1.1bn, marking a 51% increase from the $724.2m raised in 2024, although this remained 55% below the $2.4bn recorded in 2021.
The average deal size in 2025 rose to $8.95m, up from $6.5m in 2024 but slightly below the $8.97m seen in 2021, indicating a partial rebound in ticket sizes despite the longer-term contraction in activity.
Investors loosened purse strings as deals over $100m rebounded
Funding from deals under $100m totalled $975m in 2025, up 35% from the $724.2m recorded in 2024 but down 45% from the $1.8bn seen in 2021.
Larger deals valued at $100m or more generated $117.2m in 2025, marking a notable re-emergence of mega-round activity, as there were no deals above $100m recorded in 2024.
Despite this improvement, high-value funding remained well below the $643m raised in 2021, highlighting that the upper end of the market has yet to fully recover.
Oneleet, an all-in-one security compliance platform focused on bridging the gap between audit readiness and real risk reduction, secured one of the biggest European RegTech deals of the year after raising $33m in a Series A round
The round was led by Dawn Capital, with participation from Y Combinator, Frank Slootman and Arash Ferdowsi.
Founded in 2022, the company is positioning itself within the RegTech segment by automating compliance and continuous control monitoring for enterprises that increasingly face complex regulatory and security obligations.
Its platform applies an AI plus pentester verification model that reportedly identifies up to 30% more assets than legacy tools, supported by a proprietary integrations engine, code scanning and attack surface monitoring built on a unified data model.
The new capital will be used to accelerate product and commercial development, expand hiring and meet rising enterprise demand for automated compliance and risk management capabilities.
