CIBC Innovation Banking backs REG Technologies with growth capital

REG Technologies, a compliance and regulatory risk software provider for the insurance and financial services industry, has secured growth financing from CIBC Innovation Banking, following a recent majority investment from global technology-focused private equity firm Accel-KKR.

The capital will be used to drive product innovation, expand commercial capabilities, and support the company’s push into new international markets.

Founded in 2013 and based in London, REG Technologies offers a platform that enables organisations to identify and verify counterparties, simplify onboarding and due diligence workflows, and sustain ongoing compliance monitoring across the full lifecycle of a business relationship.

The company’s client base spans brokers, Managing General Agents, carriers, and insurance and financial services networks seeking to meet regulatory obligations and reduce operational and counterparty risk.

REG Technologies CEO Stephen Line said, “This funding from CIBC Innovation Banking reflects the momentum we are building as a company.

“Their support enables us to accelerate innovation, deepen our capabilities for customers, and expand into new and adjacent markets while maintaining the disciplined growth strategy that underpins our long-term vision.”

CIBC Innovation Banking executive director Tom Dods said, “REG Technologies is at the forefront of regulatory technology, providing essential tools that help insurance and financial services companies manage increasing complexity and risk. We are excited to support REG Technologies as they advance their product roadmap and pursue expansion plans.”
