Corlytics, the Verdane-backed RegTech platform and regulatory intelligence specialist, has appointed Lisa Miles-Heal as its new chief executive officer, effective June, as the company moves into a new phase of commercial expansion.
Miles-Heal brings close to two decades of executive experience leading technology-driven businesses. Her most recent role saw her steer accounting compliance firm Silverfin through its transition from a founder-led organisation to becoming a recognised Visma group company.
Founder John Byrne, who established the business in 2013 and has led it for 13 years, will remain within the executive team with his focus shifting to product leadership. Under his stewardship, Corlytics earned recognition as category leader in the 2025 Chartis RiskTech Quadrant for Regulatory Intelligence Solutions and is widely credited with helping to define the modern RegTech category.
Miles-Heal’s remit will centre on driving commercial growth and scale, while Byrne redirects his attention to advancing the company’s technology capabilities. Her priorities are expected to include extracting greater value from the firm’s regulatory data assets, broadening the application of AI across its operations, and winning new business in the risk and controls space as new products are brought to market.
Corlytics currently serves 40% of the world’s top 30 systemically important financial institutions. Its platform has earned the trust of both regulated firms and regulators themselves, having partnered with the FCA on the development of what it describes as the world’s first intelligent regulatory handbook, followed by a separate engagement with FINRA in the United States. The company also holds the distinction of being the first RegTech to achieve ISO 42001 certification, aligning its platform with the EU AI Act, the US NIST framework, and OECD principles.
Corlytics CEO Lisa Miles-Heal said, “Growing local champion technology businesses from smaller markets like Belgium and New Zealand into international success stories is something I’ve done before, and I see the same potential here. Corlytics wins against slightly larger competitors by being better at what customers truly value – technology that solves hard problems, uncompromising quality and solution connectedness. The technology is proven, the client relationships are deep, and the market wants sophisticated AI enabled compliance solutions more than ever before. Working with our talented teams across the globe I’ll be making sure we capitalise on every bit of that.”
Corlytics founder John Byrne said, ‘This transition may come to be seen not simply as a handover, but as the moment Corlytics moved from category leader to enduring market force.’
