Luxembourg audit and consulting firm HACA Partners, which serves a global client base of more than 500 businesses, has chosen RegTech provider Muinmos to overhaul its KYC and AML screening operations.
Under the agreement, HACA will roll out Muinmos’ automated screening and lifecycle management platform, which is driven by orchestrated AI agents. The deployment is intended to sharpen the accuracy, consistency and pace of the firm’s checks, while generating a complete audit trail that bolsters governance and preparedness for regulatory scrutiny.
The move follows a search by HACA for a screening tool that was more intelligent, scalable and adaptable, with comprehensive reporting built in. The firm’s earlier setup leaned heavily on manual work, slowing down checks and leaving room for inconsistency because outcomes depended on the judgement of individual analysts. That model could no longer support its expanding requirements, which span checks on its own clients, the clients of those clients, and work carried out through its outsourced regulatory compliance offering.
HACA said the breadth of Muinmos’ coverage was a decisive factor, with the platform drawing on more than 2,200 watchlists spanning over 200 jurisdictions. The ability to apply its own risk-based policies and thresholds, instead of accepting a uniform logic imposed by the vendor, further set the solution apart.
The firm was also drawn to the intelligence embedded in the screening workflow, where machine learning triages alerts, adds context and escalates only genuinely significant cases, keeping compliance teams in command rather than buried in noise. AI within the decisioning layer, covering configurable fuzzy matching, name transliteration, aliases and date-of-birth verification, makes the system adaptive rather than a static list-checker.
HACA anticipates a step-change in screening effectiveness and responsiveness. Muinmos’ screening agent cuts false positives by 76%, shrinking the manual review workload that drains compliance resources without improving risk management.
The platform also responds automatically and in real time to watchlist updates, rule changes and shifting risk signals, an important benefit given the time-sensitive nature of targeted financial sanctions duties. Muinmos has additionally shown up to 96% quicker onboarding and a 32% drop in onboarding-related costs across its client base, gains that should translate into a better experience for HACA’s customers.
HACA Partners partner, Regulatory & Compliance Cédric Leroy said, “Our decision to select Muinmos was driven by three converging factors. First, the depth of regulatory and compliance expertise embedded in the Muinmos team gave us confidence that the platform was built by practitioners who understand the real-world constraints of AML/CFT compliance – not just a technology product designed in isolation from regulatory requirements.
“Secondly, the comprehensiveness of the screening data was decisive, providing a level of coverage that is impossible to replicate manually. Thirdly, and critically for our operational model, the platform can be integrated via a single API into any existing system, CRM or workflow, which means we can embed it seamlessly into our own processes without disrupting existing client-facing operations.”
Muinmos founder and CEO Remonda Kirketerp-Møller said, “HACA Partners is a trailblazing firm in a sector that is typically fairly conservative. Their focus on enhancing compliance processes through AI to provide clients with better services and scale their business is exactly the kind of forward-thinking approach the industry needs.
“It is an absolute pleasure to work with Cedric and his team who share our commitment to strong governance and regulatory rigour. We are excited about the value we can add to HACA’s business, locally and globally, through our automated KYC/AML platform.”
