Reseda Group, the credit union service organisation wholly owned by MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU), has announced an investment in Stickley on Security, a firm offering wide-ranging security services and education to support organisations with cybersecurity and compliance.
Stickley on Security was established in 2007 by cybersecurity specialist Jim Stickley. The firm offers tailored expertise that helps credit unions build cybersecurity knowledge among their staff, with lessons that extend beyond office walls. Its offering spans education courses, training programmes and newsletters built around the distinct operational challenges and threats confronting credit unions of every size.
The company also delivers domain protection created specifically for the sector, safeguarding customer data and preserving trust.
The firm becomes the newest member of Reseda Group’s ecosystem of products, FinTech partners and solution providers, and plans to broaden the range of products and services it offers credit unions over the course of this year.
It also recently completed a merger with VYFI, a prominent information security CUSO, creating a single, stronger organisation focused on boosting cybersecurity awareness and regulatory readiness for credit unions, banks, FinTechs and other businesses.
Based in East Lansing, Michigan, and formed in 2021, Reseda Group aims to transform how consumers engage with their finances and how financial institutions connect with their customers. Through solutions built internally and via its partner network, the company works to make financial technology and engagement tools more approachable for the industry.
Reseda Group COO and MSUFCU CTO Ben Maxim said, “Reseda Group’s investment in Stickley on Security is a continuation of our efforts to expand fraud prevention and financial security services for credit unions.
“We believe that collaboration is the backbone of an innovative industry, and our investment directly reflects that. We are proud to partner with a company making fraud prevention education more accessible for all credit unions and, in turn, providing a more secure and trustworthy experience for their members.”
Stickley on Security founder and CEO Jim Stickley said, “Financial institutions shouldn’t have to assemble a half-dozen vendors to build an effective cybersecurity program.
“Our vision is to provide a single trusted partner that helps credit unions navigate today’s complex security landscape. From risk assessments, IT audits, penetration testing, and security assessments to vulnerability management, employee security awareness training, member security education, incident response planning, and organizational resiliency, we provide a comprehensive suite of cybersecurity services designed to strengthen security, support governance and compliance, and reduce risk. Together with Reseda Group, we’re making enterprise-level cybersecurity expertise and resources accessible to credit unions of every size.”
