Evrotrust, Trustfull join forces on fraud defence

Trustfull

Evrotrust and Trustfull have entered a strategic partnership designed to help organisations tighten fraud prevention and identity verification across digital customer journeys.

The tie-up brings together Evrotrust’s established digital identity infrastructure, with particular reach across Central and Southeast Europe, and Trustfull’s real-time digital intelligence capabilities. Together, the two firms will allow organisations to evaluate risk at every stage of an interaction, before, during and after identity verification takes place.

A key feature of the partnership is Trustfull’s ability to operate ahead of formal KYC checks, giving organisations the means to gauge the risk posed by a prospective customer right at the start of onboarding.

This early-stage layer is intended to help businesses flag higher-risk applicants sooner and direct more targeted verification or enhanced due diligence towards them. Combined, the companies aim to give clients a fuller picture of digital identity risk across the customer lifecycle, spanning pre-KYC screening, identity verification and later interactions, to support more informed, risk-based decisions.

The partnership is expected to carry particular weight for organisations in financial services, lending, payments, telecommunications and public-sector digital services, sectors where identity assurance, anti-money laundering controls and fraud prevention are becoming ever more closely linked.

Drawing on Evrotrust’s established base across Central and Southeast Europe alongside Trustfull’s cross-border intelligence reach, the alliance is also intended to strengthen support for existing clients while helping both firms grow into additional European markets.

The companies noted the collaboration also ties into the direction of Europe’s digital identity rules under eIDAS 2.0, with reusable digital identities and the EU Digital Identity Wallet expected to gain wider use, meaning organisations will increasingly need to pair verified identity with further risk intelligence wherever those credentials are applied.

Evrotrust allows businesses and public bodies to remotely verify and authenticate users through eIDAS-compliant digital identity services, qualified electronic signatures and other regulated trust services, with its platform already relied upon by more than 300 organisations and over 1.8 million registered users, and identity verification that covers documents from more than 60 countries.

Trustfull, meanwhile, contributes an added layer of analysis by examining hundreds of digital signals tied to phone numbers, email addresses and IP addresses, helping to surface disposable contact details, mismatched identity attributes, proxy use and other markers of heightened fraud risk.

Clients will be able to fold Evrotrust’s identity verification tools together with Trustfull’s digital risk intelligence into their current onboarding and fraud prevention processes. The two businesses also plan to pursue joint commercial opportunities across Europe, initially targeting regulated industries and organisations active in multiple markets.

Lovro Persen, Director Documents and Fraud at Evrotrust said, “As digital identity becomes more widely adopted across financial services, government and other regulated sectors, customers increasingly need to understand not only whether an identity is verified, but also the digital risk surrounding an interaction. Combining Evrotrust’s trusted identity capabilities with Trustfull’s digital intelligence allows us to give customers that broader context while supporting secure digital growth across markets.”

Trustfull SVP Global Partnerships Alex Tonello said, “Evrotrust has built a highly trusted digital identity platform with particularly strong reach across Central and Southeast Europe. By combining their identity capabilities with Trustfull’s pre-KYC and digital risk intelligence, we can help organisations detect risk earlier, focus verification where it is needed most and build stronger fraud controls across the customer journey.”
