Curvestone brings OpenAI deeper into compliance

Curvestone, the RegTech platform automating compliance processes for regulated UK financial firms, has become an OpenAI Select Partner, strengthening its ability to apply AI to regulatory checks across the mortgage, lending and financial advice markets.

The status makes Curvestone part of the OpenAI Partner Network, a global programme for organisations developing, selling and delivering solutions using OpenAI technology. As a Select Partner, Curvestone will continue working with OpenAI and receive access to resources, enablement and support as it helps enterprises adopt OpenAI models and products.

Curvestone will use GPT-5.6 and ChatGPT Work as part of its work with OpenAI. The company said GPT-5.6 can provide stronger performance per dollar, while ChatGPT Work can help turn business objectives into completed work.

The Curvestone platform automates regulatory compliance checks across areas including full case-file reviews, financial promotions and financial crime controls. Its technology is used by mortgage brokers, networks, lenders and wealth advisers operating in the UK.

The platform is designed to assess every case processed by a firm instead of relying on sample-based reviews. Curvestone said this approach can move compliance coverage towards 100%, while creating an audit-ready evidence trail for each case reviewed.

The company said the model can also help regulated firms manage higher volumes without increasing headcount or compliance risk. Curvestone positions this approach as a shift away from compliance operating solely as a cost centre and towards a function that can support business growth.

The company plans to increase its use of OpenAI models and expand the range of regulatory checks its platform can perform. It also intends to bring its AI automation to more firms across the sector, with the aim of helping customers translate their AI plans into business outcomes.

Curvestone builds what it describes as an AI workflow layer for complex, high-stakes processes, using AI workers to replace manual and siloed roles within regulated industries. Its customers include compliance officers, financial services and insurance innovators, and legal operations leaders. The company is headquartered in Holborn, London, and raised a £3m seed round in December 2025.

Curvestone founder and CEO Dawid Kotur said, “Being named an OpenAI Select Partner recognises the work we’re doing to put the best available AI models to work in one of the most heavily regulated corners of financial services. Compliance is where AI has to be right, not just fast, and partnering with OpenAI lets us give mortgage, lending, and advice firms the confidence to automate regulatory work without cutting corners.”
